The San Francisco Little Italy Honor Walk (SFLIHW), in partnership with the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club Foundation and the Tommasini Family, will pay tribute to Amedeo ‘Tommy’ Tommasini with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque in North Beach. The ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 20, from
4:00–5:00 PM PT, recognizing Tommasini’s extraordinary journey from immigrant-born son of Italian printers to an acclaimed athlete, master craftsman, cultural builder, and the designer responsible for producing the first printed edition of the United Nations Charter; a contribution that linked North Beach to world history.
