Bio of Prof. Enrico Vettore
Enrico Vettore is Professor of Italian Studies at California State University, Long Beach and Chair of the George L. Graziadio Center for Italian Studies.
His main scholarly interests include: Philosophy and Literature, Italian Cinema and Jungian and post-Jungian literary criticism, Ecocriticism, and Zen philosophy.
He has published articles on Roberto Rossellini’s Voyage in Italy, Leonardo Sciascia and Alessandro Manzoni, Sciascia, Borges and Schopenhauer, Petrarch and Schopenhauer, an alchemical reading of Pasolini’s Medea and a Zen reading of Pirandello’s One, No one, and One Hundred Thousand.
He is currently working on an ecocritical/ecopsychological reading of Antonioni’s trilogy and on a book project on Gianni Celati and Zen philosophy.
The event is “ in person event” Prof Vettore will appear on a big screen on a zoom connection with the audience.
