The first celebration was in 1911. The mimosa is a symbol. On 8th of March Italian men celebrate the day with a gift of yellow mimosas to their women.

A celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women and of women’s economic, political, and social achievements.

Which trends are enabling a new norm?
Is this new norm a “male model”?

Can women “have it all”?

Is the “having it all” crisis only about women or is it about the 1%?

Do we have a right to a full life (non-mothers and men too)?

Is technology a friend or foe for work/life balance?

Please join us at Istituto Italiano di Cultura, San Francisco  for a conversation with leaders in their field, across
industries. We will hear personal stories from Italian women and men and their recipes for survival  and success.
Refreshment will follow
