Mike Nelsen  first visited Florence during his junior year abroad with Gonzaga University, when he also began taking photographs.  After graduating from Santa Clara University he continued with both an artistic and professional commitment to photography. His repeated visits to Florence over the past 40+ years, with innumerable strolls through its streets and neighborhoods, or going for “quattro passi,” have produced the images included in this book “QuattroPassi”.  It is similar in style, with a human-interest content, to his first book on San Francisco entitled “Street Fare” which he self-published 5 years ago.
