Verdi’s operatic masterwork brought to stage the ideals and struggles of the Risorgimento. Luciano Chessa, celebrated composer, performer and conductor, will discuss these themes in Verdi’s early work, Attila. Luciano Chessa teaches at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and serves on the Advisory Board of TACET, the international research publication of the Sorbonne dedicated to Experimental Music.
